The STERNGLAS classic in 42 mm diameter

The model Naos is a classic dress watch that embodies the Bauhaus style like no other timepiece from STERNGLAS. With its focus on the essential and the use of high-quality materials, it becomes the ideal companion for everyday life.

Due to numerous requests from the STERNGLAS community, we have developed the Naos XL – a larger version with a diameter of 42 mm, designed for broader wrists. With this new watch, we fulfill the wish of those who found the Naos with a diameter of 38 mm just too small.

Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

What exactly is sapphire crystal?

Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

A distinctive feature of the Naos XL is its understated appearance despite the larger diameter of 42 mm. With a case height of only 6.6 mm, it sits comfortably on the wrist and fits perfectly under any shirt sleeve.

The dark brown premium strap made of fine calfskin nestles comfortably around your wrist. As usual, you can easily and quickly combine the Naos XL with any strap from our collection, thanks to its 20 mm lug width.

With its timeless Bauhaus design, the Naos XL attracts all eyes and adds a touch of class to any outfit. Thanks to selected components such as the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the precise Miyota calibre 9U15 movement, the Naos XL stands for durability and reliability. The case is made of polished 316L stainless steel.

Miyota quartz movement 9U15 with date function

The Miyota 9U15 quartz caliber works behind the screw-down steel case back. The movement offers a battery life of up to 42 months and an accuracy of -20/+20 seconds per month. With a low height of 2.3 mm, the 9U15 caliber is the ideal engine for our Naos model.

Dark brown leather strap made of velvety soft calf leather

In the middle of the Bavarian Forest, a small leather manufactory has been producing leather goods at the highest level for decades.

It is punched, tanned and sewn with much love and care. Most of it is still done by hand.

The velvety soft calfskin and the outstanding workmanship of our specially developed premium strap create a noticeably pleasant feeling when worn.

Easy strap change without tools

Thanks to the quick-change system, you can give your timepiece a new look in just 10 seconds:

1 — Slide the pin of the spring bar inwards.

2 — Pull the strap off the watch.

3 — Put on a new strap by sliding the pin inwards again and inserting the spring bar one after the other into the holes in the case.

How long does the battery last?

The batteries we use typically last between 2-5 years. We recommend having a jeweler or watchmaker perform a battery replacement.
